AUTOSHOW 2015 (Family Day)

You know, it has been a LONG while since my last AUTOSHOW visit and I can’t even remember when it was really…  Luckily, I got a free pass to the show so I figured why not spend a day there while everywhere was closed that day 😛   It has gotten a lot bigger than what I remembered, lot more cars and a hell lot more people for sure.  I love cars but I am only interested to see the ones that I can afford, unlike some people, dying to see those out of this world kind of cars.  It is also a perfect place to take pictures of my favorites but I found a few weird moments that I didn’t really understand at the show, anyways, here they are 🙂

Will I go again next year?  Probably not, I will wait for another 10 years maybe 😉

#icebucketchallenge

I was nominated by Minnie Yuen to take this ALS ice bucket challenge, I gracefully accepted and donated to ALS.ca

I didn’t nominate any more people because most of my friends had already done it, either if you do or don’t take this challenge, please make a donation to ALS for their research. Thanks!

and Thanks Cheryl Chow for being behind the scene for this video 🙂

Christmas Eve 2013

Couldn’t really think of a better way of spending a Christmas Eve with the little monsters other than anywhere else 😛  We didn’t have a turkey dinner or anything, all we had was a sushi platter and some Vietnamese PHO.  And as usual, we had all the food ready on the table and we had to wait for Grace, Simon and Emily…  Anyhow, the kids wanted to play Xmas dress up, so they setup a graphics wall to take some cute pictures, Marcus was in a Santa suit and the 2 girls were dressed in red.  Even Valerie wasn’t feeling well but it didn’t seem to stop her from enjoying the night with Emily and Marcus as you can tell from the pictures below hehe.  Well, the Christmas Eve turned out to be a boxing day for the kids because after our fantastic meal, they just rushed to their presents piles and started opening all the gifts, LOL  It was really a fun night, thanks 福仔 肥媽 for the wonderful evening and Karen for the tasty cake at the end!

Pretty Winter Morning

This is actually a pretty good day to be remembered because this morning was soo pretty.  After 2 days of snowing at temperature around 0°C, the snow turned everything outdoor into a winter wonderland.  Trees and branches were totally covered with wet snow and turned everything to white, road condition was alright since the temperature wasn’t that cold, so it’s like a rainy day with white snow everywhere.  This was a scene that we don’t get to see every year, it was either too cold or too warm, so how could I resist NOT taking pictures?  hehe, enough with the talking and please take a look at how pretty it was this morning right outside of work 😀

Petro Canada Car Washes

Petro Canada - SuperWorks Car Wash Season Pass

Petro Canada – SuperWorks Car Wash Season Pass

I had been using Petro Canada – SuperWorks Car Wash Season Pass for over a month now, I am loving it especially in this kind of weather.  When you drive out on the street and all the cars around you are super dirty except your car, that makes me feel special 🙂  After 6 weeks of trying most of the Petro Canada car washes in a few places, I would just want to make a few comments on each one I tried and hoping people can also comment on the ones that I haven’t tried, in Toronto area of course.  So here they are whether if they are cloth wash or touch less and wait time!!!

Cloth Wash
Major Mackenzie Dr. and Bayview Ave. – 3 mins wash time, very clean, semi dry after wash, 5 – 10 mins wait time
Weldrick Rd. and Yonge St. – 3 mins wash time, very clean except the back of the car, semi dry after wash, less than 5 mins wait time
7 and Kennedy Rd. – 3 mins wash time, very clean, semi dry after wash, at least 10 mins wait time
16th Ave. and 404 – 5 mins wash time, clean, all wet after wash, at least 10 mins wait time

Touchless Wash
Bayview Ave. and Hightech Rd. – 5 mins wash time, clean, wet on sides after wash, at least 30 mins wait time
7 and Red Maple Rd. – 8 mins wash time, very clean, dry after wash, 40 mins or more wait time
Steeles Ave. and Warden Ave. – 5 mins wash time, clean, wet on sides after wash, 15 – 30 mins wait time
7 and Kennedy Rd. – “Glide” – 10 mins wash time, clean, wet polish on sides after wash, at least 30 mins wait time

After all, most car washes I tried don’t really dry your car except the one on 7 and Red Maple Rd. because it has 6 strong blowers, and the one I go all the time is the one on Major Mackenzie Dr. and Bayview Ave. because I think it is still better than most of them. So how are the other ones? Let me know 😀

P.S.  I usually wash my cars after 8pm
