Canada Day long weekend BBQ 2012

We were so graceful that we had a super nice weather over the whole long weekend, perfect for the event that we had been waiting for, Canada Day long weekend BBQ tradition at Cheryl’s house.  Tons of people, tons of food and of course, TONS of fun 😀  Something was totally different this year because in previous years, we had Cheryl, her mom and some other people preparing food but this time, only our master chef Macy prepared the amazing good food.  Of course the outcome of the night was a success as expected, thanks Cheryl, Auntie, Uncle and Macy putting the party together for us 😀

草蜢華麗舞台演唱會 (Grasshopper’s glamour on stage)

The concert we were waiting for was finally here, 草蜢華麗舞台演唱會 (Grasshopper’s glamour on stage) located at Ricoh Coliseum and soo many friends were there too 😀  They started with slow songs then slowly moved into fast songs, at the half way point, the whole concert was already turned into a dance party and most people were on their feet dancing even the older people too, haha :p  Overall, it was a very funny and excited concert with a lot of old time favorites.  Too bad there was no encore at the end and because of that, after the concert was finished, we headed to Karaoke, since a few of us expected to have a late night concert and took the day off work the next day :p

Canada Day 2011

I remember last year on Canada, we had a BBQ party in Cheryl’s house, this year, same place but take outs instead :p  We figured we didn’t want to spend too much time on preparing food and we could enjoy the air conditioning inside the house since the weather is super hot…  If you look at the pictures below, hope your jaw doesn’t drop because we did have lots of food and at the end, each one of us got to take home 2 boxes each, hehe  Oh btw, thx the ladies for spending the time to open all the oysters for us 😀 and they tasted really good, special thx to Cheryl for getting those 😀

Sushi Couture

Nothing can stop us from trying all the good Japanese Restaurants in Toronto, tonight, a reservation at Sushi Couture, located in the heart of down town, 456 Bloor Street W :p  The dinner we had was omakase again, which we had to order the day before.  We had 9 dishes all together, so each one was a surprise and all of them tasted and looked very good 😀  For  $70, the whole dinner was way better than we expected really, but the dinner took us 3 hours because each dish was made by the main chef so I guess it was very time consuming?  Oh, not to mention I could probably make a better dessert than they do, hehe  Other than that, it’s worth every dollar we spent there.  Anyways, please take a look some of the picture I took, I bet they will make your mouth watery, hahaha!!!
