Mother’s Day BBQ

Most of my friends know that my parents are not in Toronto right now, so for this mother’s day, I was invited to a Mother’s day BBQ, first BBQ this year and the weather was super nice 😀  The food was awesome, the way how the food was marinated was amazing as always, of course big thanks to Karen for that, she definitely got that from her mom hehe.  Anyways, lets take a look at the yummy food I had today 😀

Those are just food pictures, if you want to see the full album, please go to my facebook link here 😀  http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150247624290211.365951.689775210&l=9b7f1a1225

Sushi Couture

Nothing can stop us from trying all the good Japanese Restaurants in Toronto, tonight, a reservation at Sushi Couture, located in the heart of down town, 456 Bloor Street W :p  The dinner we had was omakase again, which we had to order the day before.  We had 9 dishes all together, so each one was a surprise and all of them tasted and looked very good 😀  For  $70, the whole dinner was way better than we expected really, but the dinner took us 3 hours because each dish was made by the main chef so I guess it was very time consuming?  Oh, not to mention I could probably make a better dessert than they do, hehe  Other than that, it’s worth every dollar we spent there.  Anyways, please take a look some of the picture I took, I bet they will make your mouth watery, hahaha!!!

BTW, here is their no. 416 5388618 if you want to make a reservation 😀

Home Studio test 2

Over the last weekend, a few of my friends (Cheryl, Raymond and Sunny) came over to my home studio and did a few tests.  With a little photoshop skill, here is the test result 😀  Of course, I have to thank them because when you see me in the picture, that means the Photographers were them, not me.  Please feel free to give me comments because I am still learning :p  Hopefully I will get better in the future 😀

Photo tests with new flash and led lighting

This week, I borrowed a Canon flash 430 EXII and a LED light from Raymond, so I did a little test this Sunday on my camera.  From what I had been testing so far, a professional lighting is really needed for indoors, just take a look at the result 😀  Don’t forget, a little professional PS skill was added :p

Definitely have to thank Raymond for lending me the lighting stuffs so I can do some tests and Cheryl for being my model this weekend, I will keep on doing more tests and hopefully I will come up with more better ones in the coming weeks 😀

Fin – izakaya – authenic Japanese Izakaya in Midtown

Fin – izakaya is another really nice Japanese restaurant in Toronto. Karen’s birthday is coming real soon, so we decided to treat her a really nice dinner.  Cheryl had been there a few times but it was my first time there, I was already excited when I saw the front door of the restaurant and once we went in, you could actually feel the Japanese spirit is in there 😀  We ordered a lot of food even there were only 5 of us including Marcus but surprisingly we finished them all hehe.  But sadly, I was not surprised with the raw fish because I think you could find the same quality in most Japanese restaurants, tho, the surprising part was the cooked food, they all look and taste really good 😀  Anyways, here are some of the photos I took below:

There are tons more pictures on my facebook link here http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=342194&id=689775210&l=eb0d21273b with food descriptions by Cheryl 😀
