Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the Musical

About the same time last year, I went to The Princess of  Wales to see the Sound of Music the Musical, and this year, Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical.  The show is fun, hilarious and the audience sings along, definitely a must go if you are looking to see a fabulous show for X’mas 😀  Here is some info from toronto.com:

Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the Musical is based on the Academy Award-winning 1990s cult movie The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. It’s about Tick, Bernadette and Felicia and their road trip through Australia in an old bus.

The show has played to rave reviews and audience acclaim in Sydney and London, and it’s now making its Toronto debut with divine Broadway diva Bette Midler taking on the role of producer. The show features more than 20 dance classics and elaborate costumes.

Marcus’s Belated Birthday Party

Marcus birthday was last week but he was sick so we made the party this weekend at Karen’s parents’ house.  A few more people should have come, but most were sick this week, so only the adults were at the party, left little Marcus the only kid :p  But you know what, he had soo much fun because we had soo many gifts for him, he was playing with the new toys like none stop after dinner.  Of course, it would not be a birthday without a birthday cake, a cake full of  Toy Story characters, just take a look at the happy face on Marcus’s face in the pictures 😀

of course if you want to see more, there are TONS more on my facebook gallery using my T2i here http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=308437&id=689775210&l=6a3f81d61d

Certificate of Achievement at Cambridge Food & Wine Society :D

Day 5, last day of the winery class, soup and paste tasted soo yummy and not to mention it was brandy night :p  Tried a few of them, due to the alcohol content is a little bit too high, most of us didn’t try a whole lot, just a few zips and that was it :p  I really didn’t know there are soo many grades in Cognac : V.S., V.S.O.P., Club, Club Special, Napoleon Extra Old, Superieur Vielle Reserve, X.O. Special, Extra, Extra Perfection and Louis…  woow, soo much to memorize :p  101 is finished, 201 will start in 6 weeks!!!  AND it was my pleasure to meet Winnie Zhang, the president of  Cambridge Food & Wine Society the very very first time 😀

Cambridge Winery class (day 4)

Cambridge Winery class (day 4), where is day 3 you might ask?… because, I was sick last week, I am still covered with cold virus so don’t stand too close to me :p  Anyways, this week is all about Indian food with beer and white wine, one of my favorites, curry curry and more curry :p  It was soo funny that once our teacher said Indian food, Jason’s face changed and started to sweat because he doesn’t eat spicy stuffs.  Next week will be the last of this season, can’t wait because it’s Brandy week :p  Anyways, here are some pictures of the food, mostly made by a Humber College student Christopher.  Thx!!!

Those dishes are lamb, chicken and fish in curry sauce, the last picture is a pina colada btw 😀

死啦,魚樂軒小廚變左我飯堂?

I went  魚樂軒小廚 again tonight, was hoping to try something different and we found out that if you really want to try something out of their combos on the weekends, it’s bad :p  We did try different things tonight but since they were super busy, the out come was not what we expected.  So I strongly recommend that if you want to try something not in their menu or combos, go on the weekdays when they are not that busy, but still, the quality is still very good, just that our expectation is too high I guess :p  Here are the stuffs we tried tonight 😀
