My experience with North York Chrysler Jeep

I just wanted to share a little story about my experience with North York Chrysler Jeep.  Near the end of the summer 2011, I was planning to get a winter car for the up coming cold winter, so me and my friend Livius started doing some research on a reliable and good winter car that fit my needs.  We came across a few brands, went to the dealerships and test drove a few of them.  Jeep Wrangler was the last one I looked at and surprisingly it stood out good from most of my choices.  After a couple of hours, I put an offer in and deposit, ordered the vehicle on October 1, 2011.  I was also told the vehicle would arrive in 8-12 weeks, on a side note, I did tell the sales person I would like to get it in Dec.

week 3 – called the sales person I didn’t mind to get the vehicle sooner if possible

week 5 – called to find out the status of the car and found out that sales person no longer worked there. They redirected me to another person, didn’t really get the name at the time but anyhow, it was a voice mail anyways, so I left a message but no replies after.

week 8 – found out there was an online chat from their website, so I tried, got redirected to a sales manager, got an auto reply thing and didn’t really get a real person to reply at all.  Went in the dealership in person, tried to find that sales manager in that email in person, got there, he was in a meeting, so I talked with another guys there.  Told him about my situation and he knew it right away about my car because of the special color of the vehicle.  Told me to wait for the car because there was not info from the factory yet…  So I left…

week 11 – got a call from them, told me he just got my email because he was on vacation or whatever and told me to wait again, and the vehicle should be there at the end of DEC 2011.

week 12 – well I already knew I wasn’t going to get it because not really a lot of business days at the end of 2011.

week 14 – exactly 3 months and 1 day after I made the order, went online chat again and complained, got an email back saying I should get my car on Jan 9, 2012 so I waited.

week 15Jan 9, 2012.  Still haven’t got a vin number of the vehicle, called the sales manager at 2ish, it was voice mail again, left a message, waited till 4pm, still no replies.  Got really pissed because I had already arranged a ride to pick up the car and still no emails or phone calls of the car status.  Went online chat on their website, complained and got another auto reply thingie again.  Left work and emailed the sales manager that I would like to have my deposit back because of the delay and…

Still no replies from any real person at this point.  I did mention in my last email to the sales manager, I only paid a deposit and I was already getting no service at all, so how the hack do I expect any good service after I bought the car…  Also on the back of the agreement sales contract, it says I could get my deposit back after 3 months and that’s why I asked again in week 14…  Don’t get me wrong but Jeep Wrangler is still a great car I think (well, from reviews, its awesome, but you never know unless you ACTUALLY HAVE ONE) but from what I am experiencing, I have already lost the trust of the sales people, service?  umm…

I don’t know, I had never experienced something like this, maybe it was a wrong decision but definitely there was something wrong about that…  we’ll see what happens, my decision is made at this point, hopefully I will get my deposit back when I go find out after work tomorrow…

has been almost 2.5 years after I bought the car there, I hate them so much that I won’t even go back there even once for my service or oil change 😛

  1. damn dude, thats ridiculous, one of the reasons I won’t buy a car if I can’t take it off the lot that day, they don’t get a dime from me until I see my car.
