I had been thinking about getting a monitor calibrator for a long time, starting to get sick and tired of seeing different colours between work monitor and home monitors, so I did a little research and found this solution, ColorMunki Smile by X-Rite.  Initially, I thought about getting a datacolor Spyder but price wise it costs a little more and it is not easy to buy, instead, ColorMunki Smile is very inexpensive and it does the job.  The installation is easy as 123 and the calibration takes less than 5 mins, I am pretty sure I will bring it to work and calibrate everyone’s monitors 🙂  Now all the graphics work I do, the colour will match anywhere they appear, YAY!!!

I had talked about buying another monitor for a long long time to replace my Asus 23″ 3D monitor which I barely use the 3D functionality.  As usual, I love to browse around computer stores’ websites, in the very beginning I wanted to get a touch screen 27″ monitor but after I found this deal Samsung T27B750, 27″ LED HDTV Widescreen Monitor, not to mention it is also a Smart HDTV Monitor as well, for $295, how could I resist…so I had to buy it 😛  Samsung is doing a promotion right now and Canada Computers has it all, most Monitors by Samsung are on big sale right now so you should get them before the deal is over 🙂

P.S.  as a graphics designer, I noticed something right away after I fired up the monitor, the white balance and colour is a little off, but you can still tweak it, just takes a little time 😛

Thanks Eric for showing me this remote, I am loving it!!!  As most people know, Logitech had been making a few awesome universal remotes and Harmony Touch is one of the new ones that just came out not long ago.  I always questioned myself whether if I should get one or not, well, I just bought one after seeing it in action 😛  With all the TVs, Amps and etc. I should have bought one a long time ago.  Setup was extremely easy, only told me a few minutes online. Did I mention it would select the input sources for you?  Lets say you are watching your cable box and you want to play video games, all you do it’s to press a profile and it will turn off your cable box, switch to your games input on the TV, turn on your AMP and game console for you or if you are sick and tired of having bunch of remotes laying around, this is definitely a remote for you 😀
