Cuba Day2 Video

Day 2 was where the fun starts.  The weather was super nice, sunny and little wind, so we spent most of the time in the Beach and the Pool, and of course lots of drinking too, haha 😀  Anyways, I won’t say much here, you can check it out in my videos 😀

Cuba Day1 Video

I stayed over night at Paul and Mary’s house and at the end, I didn’t even get to sleep because we only had little time to nap so I decided to watch TV and waited until the cab comes.  They got up really early that day because our flight was at 6:20 in the morning and we had to leave Paul’s house at about 4:00.  Everyone was tired and excited at the same time because it was a first time to Cuba for the 4 of us.

Once we got to the airport, I was surprised that there was soo many people taking the same flight with us.  Anyhow, we got on the plane at about 6:00 and I almost fell asleep right away.  From napping on and off, I did take some videos and made a Pre Day1 video for youtube.

The timing was perfect after my long nap on the plane, I got up and we were almost there :p  Once we got off the plane, we could feel the hot temperature right away, hot hot hot…  The airport was quite small and it didn’t take us long to go through the whole customs stuff then we headed outside.  The bus was right there at the front door and there were people handing out free beer for us already, god, free beer!!!  We got on the bus and started heading to our hotel, but too bad the air conditioning wasn’t strong enough and we were sweating like crazy.

Once we got to our hotel, we all decided to take a shower first before we started our little adventure there.  God, it was soo hot and I still remember after like 30min of the shower, we were all wet with sweat again.  But you know what, everything was free so I just had to start ordering drinks, haha.  Oh oh, and of course we needed food :p  We had our lunch at buffet inside the resort and  the food was really alright, at least not like what I was told  :p

We did take a nap after lunch because we didn’t really have much sleep.  We were walking around and trying to get a good look at the place.  We did find a lot of interesting stuffs like lizards everywhere, hehe.  The resort was quite huge and lots of things to see.  The pool was nice and the BEACH was really nice.  So most of our afternoon was to explore the place.  Dinner was at the same place we had lunch and of course, it was all drinking, drinking and drinking.  I don’t even remember how many drinks I had that day but at the end of the night, I was pretty hammered.  But oh well, that’s what I was there for wasn’t it :p

You can find more fine details of the resort in my Day1videos below.

GUNDAM in Odaiba, Tokyo

The Mobile Suit Gundam Taneshi website reports that the Fuji-Q HighLand amusement park will open a new Gundam attraction featuring a life-size, 1/1-scale Gundam model. The Gundam Crisis walkthrough attraction is scheduled to open in July of 2007 for 800 yen (about US$7, or free with an all-day free pass).

40 attendees at a time can clear the different mission stages of

the attraction, which depicts a hanger on the Earth Federation-occupied Solomon space fortress of the first Mobile Suit Gundam series. The attendees play the role of a specially formed team that must gather data on the Gundam to upgrade it, while mysterious enemy mecha pursue them.

The Fuji-Q HighLand park is located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. A tie-in store will sell various Gundam goods including limited original goods exclusive to the park. Fuji-Q Highland had hosted Gundam the Ride, a multi-axis simulator ride similar to Disneyland’s Star Tours, on the same site until December of 2006.

At 18 meters (59 feet) tall, a life-size RX-78-2 Gundam can comfortably look into a five-story window, although the attraction’s description implies that its model will not be standing. Even though the attraction will advertise the exhibit as the “world’s first life-size, full-body 1/1 Gundam,” the city of Jiayi, Taiwan made a life-size RX-78-2 Gundam lantern for its Lantern Festival this year.

Other examples of large Gundams include a 2/3-scale LM312V04 Victory Gundam built at 10 meters (33 feet) tall during the 1990s, the 1/1-scale RX-78-2 Gundam bust in the Bandai Museum, a fan-made 1/3-scale MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam statue that stands seven meters (23 feet) tall, and the 1/1-scale Gundam F91 head that eventually made its way to San Diego Comic-Con International and San Francisco’s Metreon entertainment center before being sold to a private collector.
