0109 Dessert & Chocolate

0109 Dessert & Chocolate, not too often that you find a dessert place which is in a Chinese community, mostly because we Asians don’t like sweets. Luckily enough we picked out this place and it turned out pretty good, most dessert are not too sweet like some restaurants, their stuffs are pretty light in a good way, thumbs up! I would definitely go back just because of their cream brulee but beware because you probably need to make a reservation ahead of time because the place is packed with people unless you go early.

ZAKKUSHI (Japanese Yakitori Izakaya)

It’s that time of year again, To celebrate Karen birthday, we picked ZAKKUSHI a Japanese izakaya located in downtown Toronto. I actually passed by this place a few times and never knew this place is actually quite nice and spacious. The atmosphere is bascially like the other izakaya, once you go in they would greet you loudly and food are mostly BBQ stuffs. In my opinion, food is not the greatest compare to some others but still a very good place to try, as long as the fun factor is there, everything should be good B-) We did make a reservation because we had quite a lot of people but even if you have only a couple, I think you should make one too because this place is also very packed most of the time.

The London Arms

Unlike most restaurants inside malls, this one apparently is not a chain.  Located in the lower level of the Pen Centre St. Catherine’s Ontario, a pub like restaurant named The London Arms.  There are lots of food choices in the food court, a Kelsey’s and Boston Pizza in the parking lot of this mall, so with this much competition, a restaurant has to stand out and it does 🙂  Their menu is very simple, typical pub food but I was quite surprised the prices are not as expensive than I thought because it’s in a mall.  Food was quite good, the Italian sausage penne I ordered was soo creamy and tasty, and their fish and chips is probably the best in the area.  The best thing about this place is, they do have specials on a few kinds of beer before 6pm so if you are getting tired after a whole afternoon shopping, you can take a good break with a few beer in there and then you can go drunken shopping again, hehe

La Crosse Technology BC1000 Alpha Power Battery Charger

I use a lot of rechargeable AA and AAA batteries for my electronics, ever noticed your rechargeable batteries went completely dead after less than 50 charge cycles, then you blame the brand of your batteries sometimes and bought some other brands to try out?  And the end result is the same with even different brand of batteries?  Then you blamed on your charger and bought another one and same shit happened?

Well, tell you what, the problem is your charger, most chargers you can get in the market now they kill your rechargeable batteries even if they have auto stop.  Also getting sick of charging your ONE needed battery along with another because you have to charge them in pairs?  Well, here is a perfect solution 🙂  La Crosse Technology BC1000 Alpha Power Battery Charger which I bought it from Amazon for $60.  It is probablely the best AA and AAA charger in the market now.
