Markham RibFest 2013

Yup, it is that time of the year again, RIBs!!!  I love to eat, tho I always watch out what I put in my mouth, but who can resist the juiciness of oily/greasy grilled meat!!!  Got there before 6 because usually parking is a bitch after 6 and we were right.  Overall, it wasn’t as good as before, everything used to be very strong tasted, instead everything tasted light, umm, it could be my taste buds wearing out or something, but I will definitely go try again in 2 weeks for the Richmond Hill one at Richmond Green 😛

SCOSCHE® motorMOUTH II Handsfree Car Kit

Instead of using a Bluetooth headset while you are driving, this is a really good solution, SCOSCHE® motorMOUTH II Handsfree Car Kit.  If you have an auxiliary input in your car, all you need to do is pair up this baby and plug it in your AUX and you are done!  This thing is very small, rechargeable, it just turns your car stereo into a Bluetooth handsfree.  I have tried a few other Bluetooth handsfree kits including headsets but I am not very satisfied with them all, so I did some research and found this.  Keep it in mind that this is a lower model that I bought which means cheaper, a higher model motorMOUTH II stereo is awesome as well because on top of being a handsfree kit, it would also allow you to play music from your phone to the device, but it’s a little bit too expensive for me since I can still play music from my car stereo 😛  Anyways, just wanted to share this with you all because I am sure someone out there must be looking for something like this 🙂

CATS The Musical

Most people know about this amazing musical “CATS” by one of their greatest songs “Memory”, well, that’s how I know about this because I used to play the song on piano back in the days 😛  I believe they will still be around for a few weeks so if you are interested, get your tickets now!!!  About the musical, it was really amazing, quote the singing part, the story is alright, well, it’s all about a bunch of street cats hanging out the junk yard really hahaha 🙂 If you have never seen it, you really have a pay a lot of attention on everything that is going on really, they interact with you sometimes and a whole lot of story telling in their songs.  Overall, I love it, the costumes, singing and everything, if I have a chance to see it again, I totally would, only if I can see it in a bigger theatre because we saw it in Panasonic theatre which is a little small, I am sure it would be stunning in a bigger theatre hehe.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka Toronto (山頭火)

A very small Japanese Ramen Restaurant with a very big taste!!!  91 Dundas St E, Down Town Toronto, not hard to find, extremely easy if you take the subway, just exit Dundas station and walk outside from Eaton Center.  I was quite surprised about the pretty displays ramen bowls in their windows and everything looked pretty neat from the outside, on the other hand, inside is very basic and kind of dull but once I saw the varieties of ramen on their menu, my eyes almost popped out.  I believe all the ramen are the same size, unlike those huge portions ones we tried in the other places, I totally love their bowl size 😛  I have to admit, I love their noodles along with their meat and my friends love it too BUT we do have a big comment about everything, overall, everything is quite salty really…  Other than that, everything would have been perfect, I when we go next time, we just order things with less salt 😛  Or maybe that’s the overall Japanese style because most I have tried are like this 😛

Dinner at Karen’s house :-)

Summer is finally here and the weather is getting hotter than hotter everyday.  Instead of eating out, we decided to made ourselves a lovely dinner at Karen’s house and I headed there early to help of course.  Cutting the geoduck (象拔蚌) took me sometime because every slice has to be paper thin, cutting the pork neck meat (豬頸肉) into strips was alright and not to mention I also had to marinate those chicken wings too 😛  The outcome was amazingly good as expected, geoduck with pork neck was cooked just right, wings were perfect and everything on the table was mouth watering!!!  At first I thought we cooked too much for 6 adults but at the end, we basically finished all the dishes, so what does that tell you eh??  😛
