Miller Tavern to celerate Karen’s Bday

Karen’s birthday is next week, we decided to celebrate it early on this weekend to a fine dinning restaurant.  We picked out a few but most of them were full because of St. Patrick’s day but at the end, we got seats at Miller Tavern located at Yonge st. and York Mills rd.  Never been there but it’s sure very unique because you only see that 2 storey building in the corner and nothing else around it, so there is no way you would miss it :p

They don’t have a huge variety of food choice, the menu is quite simple as 2 pages and we didn’t need a lot of time to think what we wanted :p  Anyways, when the dishes came, I already knew everything would be amazingly good just by the looks and as expected, taste was really good.  We ordered 3 different steaks dishes cuz they are all VERY good as told, the black cod was also a surprise too, and you know what?  I haven’t had dessert for a LONG time and I decided to order one because we had the confidence to try everything there :p  Anyhow, the whole night was fun and all, I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone if you are looking for a nice dinner out, one hint tho, the price is not cheap :p

Super Cook Karen!!!

Yet another weekend gathering @ Karen and Simon’s house, me and a few friends were invited over for a nice home made dinner.  She is already an amazing cook no doubt, maybe its the generic because her mom is a great cook too :p  I got there a little earlier than the others so I was watching the whole progress and she really made all those dishes looked extremely easy.  Seriously, with Karen and all other friends with amazing cooking skills, I really should learn from them and hopefully I could be that good someday 😀  Anyways, enough with the talking, lets take a look at all the dishes she did for us all by herself tonight and would probably make you go WOAH.

BTW, that lobster is over 5 lbs, just look at the size of those huge claws, really not easy to work with in my knowledge.

Family Day weekend and Valerie is one year old! (19 Feb 2012)

Valerie will be one year old in a few days and I was lucky enough to be invited to her early birthday party this family day weekend.  A lot of the parents were invited, fortunately not many kids were there so I didn’t get any headaches and it was a total relief for me :p  Poor David, Valerie’s dad is stuck at work in Montreal so he didn’t get to join us for the fun but thanks to modern technology, with video conferencing, he got to see all the action going on over the internet real time 😀  Anyways, we first had our awesome dinner, then it was time for the birthday cakes, one ice-cream cake and one mousse with little cartoon characters in them.  Gift unwrapping was another big scene of the night and little Marcus was such a big help ripping all the gifts apart :p  Seriously, I never thought a kid’s birthday party could be this fun :p

年廿八唔洗邋遢之HotPot

Chinese New Year is coming in less than 2 days, I was going to do some more house cleaning this afternoon, but instead, I went to have a hair cut then went to Karen and Simon’s house for a hotpot dinner (my favorite!!!).  I figured, I will stay home ontomorrow anyways, so might as well do the cleaning Sunday and went out because of the nice weather :p  Anyways, just a few shots from the hotpot dinner at their house :p

New Year Party – 31 Dec 2011

Yet another party at Queenie’s house on New Year’s Eve, tons of people, tons of fun and of course tons of good food!!!  I was very honored once again, got invited to Queenie’s house for this years new year’s eve party, and whenever there is a party with the aunties, it means there would be a 100% amazing good food no doubt.  It was more like a pot luck dinner and everyone made something different, I didn’t have time to make any but there was already enough food for at least 40+ people really :p  Of course it was a very memorable New Year’s Eve dinner thank to all the aunties especially Queenie for putting this event together.  Everyone stayed chatting and waited for the count down of 2012 but for me, there was a part 2 of the night.  Instead of staying at Queenie’s house, I headed to Karen’s house for the count down since they both asked me to join the same night :p  As I predicted, with the game LEGO Creationary, it was hilarious at Karen’s place.  If you want to know why, you definitely have to check out a full photo album on my face book here http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150558386810211.432024.689775210&type=3&l=3895fdacf2

Some highlights of the night
