It’s not a surprise that Tina comes back to Toronto during Christmas to visit her family and friends, so it’s very usual we would have a gathering dinner with old friends that we haven’t contacted for a while because of that. We chose Alice Fazooli’s an Italian food restaurant near Highway #7 and 404, a restaurant that I haven’t been to for a long time since the renovation about 2 years ago. Of course, once everyone got there, the chatting was non stop, I would say everyone haven’t changed much since the last time we saw each other, at least no one looks older :p Anyways, the menu is very simple, a few pages only, really made it very easy to choose what we wanted :p For a restaurant like this, food quality and service is expected, the food was ok really but not fantastic, at least my dish wasn’t :p, presentation was super nice tho. Service is below average, seriously, I am not sure if its because of the holiday season or any other reasons, our server wasn’t around/very long wait when we needed, missed a few orders and stuff… Anyways, I still recommend this place because of the food but definitely not over Moxies or Jack Astors if I really have to choose one in the same plaza :p With that said, time to look at pictures 😀

Christmas 2011
Everything started off slow on Christmas Day because of last night’s party – X’mas Eve 2011, went home at 430 this morning, woke up at around noon, grabbed something to eat from the fridge then started doing some laundry. Tried to relax as much as possible because I wasn’t sobered at 100% when I got up :p Anyways, Karen’s party started early for the kids mainly, me as an adult that don’t like to play with kids got there around 6 :p The party was awesome with the cutest kids Valerie and Emily, Grace, 福仔, 肥媽 and Simon were playing Mahjong upstairs, great food from 潮州館 @ Bayview and MajorMac., Karen made turkey and we even had a X’mas cake as dessert 😀 Simon and Marcus even dressed in Santa’s suits when they gave out presents to the kids, and of course, some didn’t have the patience opened theirs right away :p Thanks Karen and Simon for organizing this party, awesome night with plenty of laughters and joy for this year’s X’mas!!!

X’mas Eve 2011
Christmas means PARTIES, that’s what it says in my dictionary. We decided to have a Christmas Eve party at Cheryl’s house and of course, we have to thank her parents’ kindness and understanding, letting us to have a long loud night party there. We wanted the party to be simple so no one made anything, all the food was ordered from a few restaurants in that Chinese plaza (新旺角) on 8306-8362 Kennedy Rd. Markham. After a full stomach of the amazing good food, time for the highlight of the night, Karaoke and drinking in the basement :p We kind of started off slowly in the beginning, as the time flew deeper and deeper into the late night, the alcohol was running out fast :p With our stuffed stomachs, some how we managed to finish most of the alcohol at the end of the night, it was fun fun fun, no words can describe it really :p

Oysters and steak Dinner – 23 Dec 2011
I was invited to 福仔 肥媽’s house for an Oyster and steak dinner tonight. Karen left work early because of X’mas this weekend, then she went to Diana’s Oyster to get Oysters, lobster soup and Uni, got some wonderful steaks and lobsters pasta from Costco. Those places are still on top of my list if you are looking for a nice dinner gathering with a fantastic easy to make food at home :p Oh, almost forgot to mention, Valerie is 10 months old now, I just can’t resist to take some pictures of her cute face. Hopefully I will have time this holidays week to take some studio shots for her before she loses her cuteness :p

Christmas Lunch @ Mandarin Buffet
This was really a big day for our company because it was our first time having Christmas Lunch out side of our office. Instead of eating in an intense environment (office), Mandarin Buffet on Woodbine ave. was our number one choice, it was close to the office and newly renovated :p I am so glad we went because they have all kinds of food that fits our colleague’s different culture, most of the food is pretty good and the smile on my colleagues faces which I don’t see very often in the office, priceless. As most of my friends know, I don’t go to buffets very often, top reason is I don’t eat much but this was actually pretty good, I ate quite a lot especially those mussels with black bean sauce, hehe :p Anyways, time to take a look at my colleague stuff their faces and some pictures of our Christmas presents lucky draw after we headed back to the office.
