Whenever there is food - Food is any substance[1] consumed to provide nutritional support for the body. It is usually of plant or animal origin, and contains essential nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals. The substance is ingested by an organism and assimilated by the organism's cells in an effort to produce energy, maintain life, or stimulate growth.
Woah, it had been a long time since we had a gathering with my old colleagues from Logic. Julian’s came back and brought our old buddies back together once again, woah, when I think about it, it has already been 5 years!!! Just like old times, everyone haven’t changed much, we talk LOUD and laugh LOUD, Thomas is fat, Ray is wearing T-shirt ONLY during cold weather, Darlie has his goatee still, Cherry laughs all the time, Doris is annoying, Stephen still tries to be funny and Julian looks like Julian 5 years ago still :-P. 華星餐廳 (Chi Star House) was a perfect place to have a nice dinner in a VIP room. Food was nice but of course we all enjoyed our chatting more than anything hehe.

Woah, this is really the place I had been dying to talk about, DENA’S, located at 3747 Portage Rd
Niagara Falls, ON, a very small family restaurant that serves all day breakfast and other stuffs!!! There are a lot of restaurants very similar but I am sure nothing could top this one in both price and taste. The place is not really that big, I would say maximum 20 seats, a piece of paper as their menu, so very simple. $4.95 for a 2 egg and sausage breakfast with coffee or tea, and of course it also comes with their home fries and mushrooms. Tho the breakfast dish is very simple but the taste is way better than other competitors like CORA, Egg Smart and etc. because everything is made just right. The cook (the owner) would also come and chat with the people when he is not cooking, very family oriented and makes you feel very warm 🙂 Amazing experience overall, 2 thumbs up!!!
P.S. They don’t have a website but if you Google it, you will see a lot of good reviews about this place 🙂

Kinton Ramen has been around for sometime and it was my first time there… I was actually quite amused by the location of the restaurant because it is located in a very enclosed area in downtown Toronto where surprisingly a lot of similar types of restaurants nearby. Inside of the restaurant is quite unique and modern, although it is a tiny space but it actually feels quite large due to its tall ceiling. Like other Japanese IZAKAYA or other noodles places, the workers will greet you once you enter the restaurant which gives you a very warm home coming feel. Because it is a Japanese noodles soup restaurant, the menu is very simple and I just love the way you can choose the thickness of their rich and flavourful soup base of your choice. Not to mention, they do have something like rice, noodle soup bowl and a drink combos for a very affordable price. I was pretty satisfied with my rice and noodle soup, the portion is just right for me, not too much noodles and just enough toppings. This is a highly recommended place to go in my opinion but there is only one catch, parking is a bitch since it is in a very compact enclosed area in downtown, there is a big chance that you might have to park really really far away from the restaurant, which might end up with a very long walk, not cool during winter 😛 But if anyone is going there, can I car pool? hehe

Woot, hotpot dinner, one of my favorites!!! Tho it might look very simple to a lot of people but having hotpot needs a lot of preparations, thanks Tony and Jane for preparing everything and providing us a warm place to make this happen and of course, big thanks to our new friend Michael for preparing the seafood (monster crabs) for us as well 🙂 At the end of the night, we left with joy and a full stomach, of course we also shared all the pictures that were taken during out cruise trip and we had a very good laugh at the end 🙂 Thumbs up for 2013 for this one 🙂

Woah, I haven’t been to this restaurant for a long time, last time I was there was back in 2011 Dinner @Alice Fazooli’s. I really didn’t remember much about this place, they might have renovated the place, but as I remembered the most was, the place was always noisy and I was right, hehe. Still don’t think the food stands out from other restaurants around it but it’s still a good place to go if you like the atmosphere. It does have a very unique and modern style that most Italian restaurants don’t have, I guess that’s one of the reasons why it is always packed and attracts mostly the younger crowds and really not a bad choice if you are in Richmond Hill area 🙂 Did I mention they have a big projector on the wall playing old times movies?! Hehe
