Next week is our cooking class teacher Joseph Ho’s (Joe Sir) birthday, so as usual, we would organize some nice dinner out with most of the aunties from cooking class, of course Joe Sir and his wife. Did a little survey, not a lot of people know about this place and I was there only once in the beginning of this year around Chinese new year time, you can read up on the post here http://www.karlng.com/blog/?p=3079. Of course the decision was perfect, food was amazing and everyone had a wonderful time. Lunch @ Go for Tea (吃茶去)
First time to have lunch at Go for Tea (吃茶去), usually people go to these kind of places for drinks at night time, but you know what? The lunch there is pretty amazing as well :p If you are sick of the same lunch place every weekend or crowded lunch hours, you should definitely check this place out 😀

真東北餃子館
真東北餃子館 (Chinese dumpling House) located in Metro Square, a very small restaurant but with a big taste 😀 Had lunch there because it was recommended by a friend. Wonderful dumplings and food varieties, VERY INEXPENSIVE, perfect place for dinner. But for lunch, unless you want something really really heavy, Mr. don’t eat a lot here would have a lot of leftovers :p Also the another thing is, they don’t have a lot of noodles varieties like other restaurants do, but they do have tons of dumplings to choose from tho, over all, I like it :D. 味香村 (Asian Legend) again
The last time I was at 味香村 (Asian Legend) was about 8 months ago, the food was pretty amazing, here is the post I made http://www.karlng.com/blog/?p=2777. This time, the food was even more amazing, tasted even a whole lot better, no wondered the place was packed with people. Take a look at what we ordered, they don’t just look good, they taste very good as well 😀

Tony 生日之小沙田食家
Doris had planned a dinner party at China town 小沙田食家 to celebrate Tony’s birthday. We hadn’t been there for quite sometime, last time I was there was like at least a year ago, I still remember the food was sooo amazingly good and lineups at the door. Anyways, I was kind of surprised that there wasn’t any lineups and the restaurant wasn’t even full. First I thought, it could be because of the long weekend, but once we started eating, we know why… Well, everything tasted OK, no surprise at all, and we could probably find any Chinese restaurants in uptown that have the same food quality or even better… The worst part was the Crab fried rice, because we tasted bleach in it, yes bleach… Not to mention the service was terrible with those “big circle” waiters and waitresses… Anyhow, it was a thumbs down for all of us, no more 小沙田食家 for at least 5 years :p
On a bright side, we headed back to Doris’s place and had a wonderful mango cake as dessert, thx Cherry!!!
