the Sound of Music

Me and Karen went sound of music in Princess of Wales downtown tonight.  We were soo lucky because we didn’t get the alternate Maria, instead we got Elicia as Maria and Simon who performed the Sound of Music in England as captain.  After all, the show was totally amazing, it was really the best musical I had ever seen.  All the singers were soo good, not to mention the amazing backgrounds on stage.  I also like the way they presented the end story of the musical how the captain and others escaped from where they were living, if you have seen the old version, they really did good on this version.  Anyways, Sound of Music is ending on 3 Jan 2010, if you want to see it, you better get tickets soon because the show is ending in about 2 weeks 😀

My Baby Hamsters at 3 weeks+

At about 3 weeks, I had to move the cages to my washroom because I was having an allergic reaction to the smell of the hamsters for some reason.  At about 4 weeks, you could tell they totally became adults so I had to separated them to another cage to prevent them having more babies.  So here is a video of their cute young time, they are still cute as adults but this was cuter when they were young 😀

Dinner at Mary’s house again

This time, we asked Debbi to join us as well and try out some of our cooking.  I made 2 huge dishes of fried doodles and curry fish balls.  It did take me sometime to make both since my cooking skill is not the best yet and haven’t really tried cooking something so huge :p  And Paul made use some chicken wings with potato as well, what a surprise hehe

Dinner at Mary’s house

Not long ago we learned how to make a Mocha cake so me and Miranda decided to make one together so we chose Mary’s house as our location to test it out.  As always, we asked Corolla to join us and she made us a vegi fried rice, I baked some chicken wings and cake and Miranda made us some curry 😀  AT the end of the night, everyone had a full stomach and very satisfied with all the food that night 😀

HotPot at Queenie’s House

After the noodles dinner at Queenie’s house previous week. she was nice enough to invite me again for a hotpot dinner.  Yummm, hotpot 😀  Here is a definition of hotpot:

Hot pot (Chinese: 火鍋; pinyin: huǒ guō), less commonly Chinese fondue or steamboat, refers to several East Asian varieties of stew, consisting of a simmering metal pot of stock at the center of the dining table. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table. Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and seafood. The cooked food is usually eaten with a dipping sauce. In many areas, hot pot meals are often eaten in the winter.

It was a about gathering fun really 😀  Enjoy 😀
