It’s not a surprise that Tina comes back to Toronto during Christmas to visit her family and friends, so it’s very usual we would have a gathering dinner with old friends that we haven’t contacted for a while because of that. We chose Alice Fazooli’s an Italian food restaurant near Highway #7 and 404, a restaurant that I haven’t been to for a long time since the renovation about 2 years ago. Of course, once everyone got there, the chatting was non stop, I would say everyone haven’t changed much since the last time we saw each other, at least no one looks older :p Anyways, the menu is very simple, a few pages only, really made it very easy to choose what we wanted :p For a restaurant like this, food quality and service is expected, the food was ok really but not fantastic, at least my dish wasn’t :p, presentation was super nice tho. Service is below average, seriously, I am not sure if its because of the holiday season or any other reasons, our server wasn’t around/very long wait when we needed, missed a few orders and stuff… Anyways, I still recommend this place because of the food but definitely not over Moxies or Jack Astors if I really have to choose one in the same plaza :p With that said, time to look at pictures 😀

Christmas Lunch @ Mandarin Buffet
This was really a big day for our company because it was our first time having Christmas Lunch out side of our office. Instead of eating in an intense environment (office), Mandarin Buffet on Woodbine ave. was our number one choice, it was close to the office and newly renovated :p I am so glad we went because they have all kinds of food that fits our colleague’s different culture, most of the food is pretty good and the smile on my colleagues faces which I don’t see very often in the office, priceless. As most of my friends know, I don’t go to buffets very often, top reason is I don’t eat much but this was actually pretty good, I ate quite a lot especially those mussels with black bean sauce, hehe :p Anyways, time to take a look at my colleague stuff their faces and some pictures of our Christmas presents lucky draw after we headed back to the office. Enjoy!

Vincent + 人人菜館 (New Choice Restaurant)
An old friend Vincent (my best friend Orlando’s brother), after moving away from Toronto for 8 long years, he decided to come back for a surprise visit. I would say, for a newly dad with 2 evil kids, he really haven’t changed much in his looks :p Anyways, because Vincent is traveling back to Seattle tomorrow so auntie Amy and uncle Yeung wanted to have a small dinner gathering with us at 人人菜館 (New Choice Restaurant), a restaurant that I haven’t never tried :p Food was really nice, taste really not bad at all and totally fit my taste and I would totally recommend this place to all my friends if they are looking for an inexpensive Chinese style dinner in Richmond Hill. Location is very convenient too, it’s just in 黃金商場 (Golden Plaza) on highway #7. Let’s take a look at some pictures see if you would agree with me and of course, a picture of Vincent 😀

Lunch with the Aunties @黃金閣
As most of the people know I have been pretty sick for more than a week now but the flu is slowly going away thank god. Usually I am always the person to organize gatherings but because I had been sick, Corolla took over this time for Paulina’s birthday gathering. They really didn’t expect me to show up since I had to work on Thursdays but I did to surprise them all. 黃金閣 is a place we always go, food/dimsum is always good, thumbs up for everything :p, just look at the picture below and you would know what I mean :p plus location is perfect for all of us as well. Oh, don’t forget to take a look at Paulina’s new scarf made by Corolla and look at how happy she was in those pictures hehe.

嚼通天 (Win’s Seafood Restaurant) with Joe Sir and 靚靚師奶
Next week is our cooking class teacher Joseph Ho’s (Joe Sir) birthday, so as usual, we would organize some nice dinner out with most of the aunties from cooking class, of course Joe Sir and his wife. Did a little survey, not a lot of people know about this place and I was there only once in the beginning of this year around Chinese new year time, you can read up on the post here http://www.karlng.com/blog/?p=3079. Of course the decision was perfect, food was amazing and everyone had a wonderful time. Anyways, enough with the talk, please take a look at the yummy pictures below because just by looking at those you know it’s a thumbs up for everyone 😀
