X’mas Eve 2011

Christmas means PARTIES, that’s what it says in my dictionary.  We decided to have a Christmas Eve party at Cheryl’s house and of course, we have to thank her parents’ kindness and understanding, letting us to have a long loud night party there.  We wanted the party to be simple so no one made anything, all the food was ordered from a few restaurants in that Chinese plaza (新旺角) on 8306-8362 Kennedy Rd. Markham.  After a full stomach of the amazing good food, time for the highlight of the night, Karaoke and drinking in the basement :p  We kind of started off slowly in the beginning, as the time flew deeper and deeper into the late night, the alcohol was running out fast :p  With our stuffed stomachs, some how we managed to finish most of the alcohol at the end of the night, it was fun fun fun, no words can describe it really :p

Oysters and steak Dinner – 23 Dec 2011

I was invited to 福仔 肥媽’s house for an Oyster and steak dinner tonight.  Karen left work early because of X’mas this weekend, then she went to Diana’s Oyster to get Oysters, lobster soup and Uni, got some wonderful steaks and lobsters pasta from Costco.  Those places are still on top of my list if you are looking for a nice dinner gathering with a fantastic easy to make food at home :p  Oh, almost forgot to mention, Valerie is 10 months old now, I just can’t resist to take some pictures of her cute face.  Hopefully I will have time this holidays week to take some studio shots for her before she loses her cuteness :p

SRH750DJ

I always wanted a nice set of headphones and I finally found one,  SRH750DJ by Shure.  Had been thinking about it for sometime, one of the reasons was I bought a professional mic already – Blue Microphones Yeti Professional USB Microphone (Part 2) might as well buy a nice set of headphones to go with it, plus I was thinking about doing some recording in the future, so that gives me enough excuses to buy that no doubt :p  Anyhow, the headset is a little heavier than others in its class but it feels soo durable and professional which I like and sound quality is really good of course.  It comes with a small carrying pouch and a detachable cord, so it is very good for travelling if you don’t mind big headphones :p

Camera test – NEX 5N

Had to do some low light camera test with my NEX-5N since I heard soo many good things about it so I headed to Sunny and Karry’s house to do some tests since they have soo many things I can take pictures of, like their Christmas village display :p I love almost every part of the camera but a little not satisfied with the low brightness of some pictures.  The noise in high ISO is pretty good, with the Anti Blur mode which takes 6 shots in 1 sec then combine them all as one picture is pretty amazing.  Camera itself is super light, very handy to carry it around town.  To top the regular still shots test, took a few pictures with Brownie (Karry’s cat) with her speedy movements.  I am actually pretty happy with the results overall, maybe you guys should consider getting one as well :p

P.S.  I did adjust the brightness a little bit using photoshop, nothing else but surprisingly, the noise/clarity of the photos after the adjustment is pretty good 😀
