Karen’s Bday 2009

I know I had been lazy about posting things here, but here we are, a new post after a few months :p

After a few months of the basement renovation, I finally got a chance to throw a party for real. Although the basement is not 100% done yet, since there are still 2 more rooms waiting on the floor and still have to get more furniture but the most areas are pretty much done.  I am pretty sure there will be more parties to come soon 😀

Me, Cheryl, Vivian and Karen had sushi take out dinner that night, then Grace, Simon, Gary and Ricky joined us after. It was nice to see some old friends showed up cuz I really hadn’t seen Gary and Ricky for a long time 😀

Labour Day (Polly’s Birthday) Lunch

We made a reservation at Uncle Joe on Markham Rd/ hwy 7 for lunch with Polly and others (Herbert, Livius, Sunny, Karry and Vikki) to celebrate her Birthday.  First we gathered at Polly’s house to car poll cuz Livius was the only person knew how to get to the restaurant.  We thought we had to go with at least 2 cars but we came up with a perfect idea, Herbert has a Van that would fit all 7 of us :p  So we all got into Herbert’s van, it was like going to a little field trip with class mates and it was fun :p  Anyways, I had never been to that restaurant and Livius did pick a very good choice for lunch.  The food was soo great and of course at the end, we had a birthday cake for Polly 🙂

As you can see from the pictures, Polly was sooo happy, on the other hand, Polly, you are one year older now, maybe it is time to get married with Herbert?  :p  please check out some other pictures on my Facebook 🙂

Kate’s Birthday

As a god father, I had to be there. Raymond decided to have the party in the afternoon instead of at night which is a good choice, people are kind of tried from the Olympics and it was the ending ceremony this morning :p Anyways, the party started at 1:30 at Raymond’s house and there were sooo many children and of course my head was in pain because of that, lol Anyways, there was soo much good food by Raymond and all and I was soo full 🙂 Here is my Facebook link of the pictures 😀

On my Bday and 檀花

I know it’s my birthday but it is not really my actual birthday, anyways, it’s a long story. I woke up early this morning and didn’t have anything to do so I called my friend Vikki because she told me she was going to check out some tiles places and furniture for her new apartment. We went to a few places and one of the places shocked me and gave me a nice surprised. A tile painting that I would never thought people would make in real life. It is like 10 feet high, it is made out of little glass tiles blocks and it looks awesome really. Here is a picture of it below 😀

At night, we came back to my place because I had to render a video clip for her on my computer and you know what, the “檀花” (sandalwood) in my house bloomed. I am not sure this is what it is called in English but it is a flower that you might never see it bloom in your entire life. We have had that more than 5 years, and we never saw the flower bloom but tonight, I was lucky enough to see it in person. you know “檀花(曇花)一現” it is super rare, and I have a chance to see it in person on my 36 birthday, I am sooo happy 🙂 and I have some pictures of it 🙂

My Dad’s Birthday + misc. stuffs

In the afternoon, me and Treycie went to Pacific Mall/Market Village. I had to get one of my lighters fixed because I accidentally dropped it from the 2nd floor to the ground floor and it was a gift from a friend 🙁 there after Treycie and I bought some stuffs + camera covers (which is in one of the pictures below) from “Once Better Living” if you know what it is :p Then after, we had a very nice dinner at a Chinese Restaurant for my dad’s Birthday and we had our cake at home. I DO think that was my dad’s first time having a Birthday cake in his life but I wouldn’t go find out anyways, hehe :p
