On my Bday and 檀花
I know it’s my birthday but it is not really my actual birthday, anyways, it’s a long story. I woke up early this morning and didn’t have anything to do so I called my friend Vikki because she told me she was going to check out some tiles places and furniture for her new apartment. We went to a few places and one of the places shocked me and gave me a nice surprised. A tile painting that I would never thought people would make in real life. It is like 10 feet high, it is made out of little glass tiles blocks and it looks awesome really. Here is a picture of it below 😀
At night, we came back to my place because I had to render a video clip for her on my computer and you know what, the “檀花” (sandalwood) in my house bloomed. I am not sure this is what it is called in English but it is a flower that you might never see it bloom in your entire life. We have had that more than 5 years, and we never saw the flower bloom but tonight, I was lucky enough to see it in person. you know “檀花(曇花)一現” it is super rare, and I have a chance to see it in person on my 36 birthday, I am sooo happy 🙂 and I have some pictures of it 🙂

Lastest project!!
Some people might wonder why I haven’t been updating my blog recently. I spent a few days learning this software “After Effects” and hoping to master it asap. I wanted to learn it a long time ago, I was just being lazy for sometime really :p As a 2d graphics/flash designer, doing basic 2d design is boring. I wanted to get out of the box and learn sometime new. With my 3d knowledge from college, softimage and Alias, and all my 2d knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash, I figured After Effects would be a piece of cake. I won’t say is an easy software to learn but thanks to youtube, I really got a lot of info I need from there.
Here is my first ever AE video for my WoW Guild (Victorious Secret). It is only a draft but I think I have done a pretty good job already. A little tweak would make it perfect I think, when I have more time to, I will tweak a little more on the graphics design overlall and hope people would like it 🙂

Our guild first kill!!!
After my cousins are gone, of course I am back to my regular raiding schedule on World of Warcraft. I missed out the attempts last week on the forth boss in Black Temple cuz my cousins were here, but tonight, I finally got a chance to face this boss in person. We tried only 3 times and we downed Teron Gorefiend, I was soo excited because he is not an easy boss in this game. Anyways, it was all good work for all the people that participated and I am happy because I can be back raiding with my friends in WoW 😀
Call me crazy but I really like this game very much 🙂

Cousins left :)
I just came back home from the airport and my cousins should be on their way to Seattle right now 😀 Me and my dad stayed there for almost 2 hrs because they had 2 different check ins. I really hope they had fun when they were here because to me Toronto is really a boring place really :p but Rita did mention they might come back again next year same time, umm… will see :p
The last couple of days, we didn’t really do much, most of the time was shopping and shopping… I know that their luggages got a lot heavier when they put them in my car, I don’t think Treycie bought a lot of things but I am pretty sure Rita and Elaine bought a lot, so I guess they achieved what they came for I guess :p
Oh oh, also last night we had “Hot Pot” in my house, and it was sooo yummy, my stomach was sooo full that I didn’t want to move an inch, lol.

My Dad’s Birthday + misc. stuffs
In the afternoon, me and Treycie went to Pacific Mall/Market Village. I had to get one of my lighters fixed because I accidentally dropped it from the 2nd floor to the ground floor and it was a gift from a friend 🙁 there after Treycie and I bought some stuffs + camera covers (which is in one of the pictures below) from “Once Better Living” if you know what it is :p Then after, we had a very nice dinner at a Chinese Restaurant for my dad’s Birthday and we had our cake at home. I DO think that was my dad’s first time having a Birthday cake in his life but I wouldn’t go find out anyways, hehe :p
I didn’t have time to upload pictures and stuff yesterday, so I also include some pictures we took today afternoon before King left Toronto. If you want to see more, I have more pictures on my Facebook
