Home of Hot-Taste

Chicken chicken and chicken, everything is chicken in this restaurant, can you believe it?  Home of Hot-Taste, located in Thornhill area, Yonge st. and Clark ave.  Although it was my first time trying this restaurant but I already felt in love with it mainly because chicken is my favorite meat and it’s Korean 🙂  To be honest, just by looking at the front door I wouldn’t have thought there was treasure behind it, tho we only ordered 3 dishes but I was so satisfied with everything they’ve got .  Spicy chicken and octopus, deep fried chicken and chicken kidneys, I was like in heaven LOL.  Not to mention, their beer is like $3.5 each, not a bad price 🙂  Anyways, the place is not super size but perfect to have a few friends chat loud and enjoy their food and beer, definitely have to try it out if you haven’t 🙂

HOLY CHUCK

pictures added 21 Nov 2014

I am not a big burgers fan but it was probably the best burger I ever had, HOLY CHUCK, located at highway 7 and Pine Valley.  Compare to other burgers places, they have soo many varieties of burgers and fries you can choose, if you think burgers are all about beef, this place can prove you wrong because they also have bacon and even ducks in their burgers, not to mention their milk shakes are also their specialties as well 🙂  The size of the burgers is big so are the other stuffs and some burgers can cost even up to almost $30.  If you like burgers, you really have to give this place a try, you won’t regret it 🙂

P.S.  I fell in love with their logo, it’s a cow’s head on a plate LOL

kintori yakitori

Thanks to Karen, Cheryl and Minnie for this wonderful birthday dinner treat at Kintori Yakitori which is located on the second floor of Kinton Ramen 2, 668 Bloor Street West, Toronto.  Another izakaya style (居酒屋) restaurant but the atmosphere is very different from the ones I have tried.  Usually when you go to a Japanese izakaya restaurant, it would be very loud and noisy from the employees non stop greetings or the customers, but this restaurant is more on the elegant side.  Food was fantastic, not as salty as the other places and there are also parking spaces right outside of the restaurant as well, perfect place if you want to enjoy a night with a few people and able chat 🙂  The place is tiny and busy, so if you are thinking about going, you should make a reservation.

7 WEST

I walked by this place so many times but I never noticed it actually opens 24/7, 7 WEST, located in the heart of downtown Toronto, 7 Charles St. W.  A very unique cafe kind of diner, fantastic atmosphere with 2 storeys, whether if you want to relax with a cup of coffee, a nice dinner for 2, a slice of cake dessert or a late night snack, they have it all.  Not to mention they have all day breakfast as well which was what I had, it wasn’t anything fancy but was done just right 🙂  I will definitely keep this place in mind if I want something late night while in downtown 😛

SONG Cook’s

Anita and her daughter came back to Toronto for a short visit, so we decided to call our long lost friend Cindy to join us for a small gathering dinner at SONG Cook’s located on Yonge and Steeles W, one of my favorite kind of restaurant, Korean!  Yay!!!  Most people know, I love spicy food, so I couldn’t wait to try this place out 😛  Entrance looks very unique, inside is spacious and you also get to choose to sit at the regular tables and chairs side or tatami (a type of mat used as a flooring material in traditional Japanese-style rooms)

Well, this is spicy food, so I am going to say everything taste delicious right off my head even I haven’t put anything into my mouth HAHA.  But really, everything tasted extremely good, noodles (JengBan JaJang) was chewie, just the way I like it, pork ribs dish (MuGunji Pork Ribs) tasted amazing, the pig foot (Five Spices Jokbai) was totally different from anything I have tried and tons more…  I love this place, not only because of the yummy food, also because of this place DOESN’T smell 🙂  Definitely have to try this place if you are craving Korean 😛
