Yesterday’s Cooking Lesson

We used a fruit that I had never seen, it looks like a buda’s palm, thick and hard.  The preparation took sometime because cutting takes time and other ingredients takes time to soften as well but the end result was very nice, although I don’t like to eat those but it still taste very good 😀 and we also made a very simple dessert that took us no longer than 10 mins to make 😀

Starlight Joey Yung Live Toronto

I went downtown with North and his girl friend for dinner early in BCE Place last night, of course I had to leave a little early and left them wonder around in downtown :p  then I walked to the concert in Air Canada Center since it is very close.  I was there like 5 mins early than Karen, Simon, Cheryl and Grace arrived right on time when the concert started.   To be honest, I didn’t expect Joey sang so good LIVE cuz she always does so crappy on TV and she is sooo skinny in person :p  Anyways, after the concert was done, I took the subway back to uptown and North picked me up at the station  here are some pictures I took and I do have more on my Facebook as well 😀

Also a short video clip of the concert here in Facebook

Amazing cooking lesson today!!!

Yet, another cooking lesson that can fill my stomach, first off was a pumpkin soup with chicken, then a stir fried shrimps and eggs.  All the ingredients were soo simple, didn’t take long to prepare, the soup took us like 30 mins to make and the shrimps and eggs took even shorter time and they both taste amazingly good.  This also reminded me how bad the way my parents made their shrimps and eggs but now I know the tricks, I will definitely try it out sometimes 😀

Today’s cooking lesson

OMG, everyone knows that I hate fish, and today we made fish in my cooking class.  First I thought, well, is salmon, won’t smell that bad you know, but the smell of FISH quickly spread all over the whole classroom in about 15 mins and I slowly moved away from the stove and towards the backdoor of the classroom for fresh air, lol.  I won’t go in details since I didn’t pay full attention while the teacher was cooking but near the end, the teacher put some cooking wine into the cooking pan and amazingly, the smell of that fish just vanished :p  and it tasted very good as well at the end 😀

Curry Chicken

Another cooking lesson today and OMG, it’s curry chicken 😀  Most of the people know I would dig for spicy food all the time,  well, it doesn’t really have to be very very spicy, but the smell and taste of curry is one of my favorites :p  The teacher used a different kind of style to cook this curry chicken and it still tasted very good (he called it a Hong Kong style).  It is not like the way I would normally do, well I am not an expert of cooking but I do cook curry when I have time since I love it that much :p  He didn’t use curry powder or anything that I would use, instead, he used the curry source that you can get from regular supermarkets and didn’t used much like I thought he should have.  It was only a small bottle and only 6 tea spoons of that made enough for all 20 of us in the class, WOOOWW 😀  Anyways, the end result was amazing, it got the looks and so did the taste 🙂
