duo pâtisserie&café

pictures added 14 Nov 2014

Woah, another good find in Markham area, a very unique little dessert place which is in a very convenient location, on 230 Commerce Valley Dr. E, Unit 4, a little dessert place called “duo pâtisserie&café” (noted, don’t think the website is ready yet but you can visit their facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/duopattiseriecafe).  Its probably one of the first of it’s kind in the area, similar to Nadège Patisserie on Queen if you know where that is, with famous tasteful macaroons and croissants along with a few other desserts and specialty coffees.  I am not a very dessert person but the first time I was there I was already fallen in love with their desserts.  Not to mention the looks is very mouth watering, and the taste just fits my taste buds, not too sweet compare to a lot of similar places. If  you are looking for a goodnight dessert before bed, I think this is the perfect place in the area.  Anyways, here are some pictures I took while I was there, and yea, go try it and you won’t be disappointed 🙂

p.s. hey I was the first one to use their credit card machine 😛

Grace + Cindy’s Birthday party at Cheryl’s

Perfect timing at a perfect place, finally we could have a small little house party with only friends :-P, our lovely Cheryl provided her place to have a celebration for Grace’s birthday and Cindy’s coming soon.  The most funny part was, it was Grace that asked for a party herself at Cheryl’s and she even bought herself a cake LOL.  Big thanks to Cheryl for letting us mess up her place, Karen for making us a super yummy ox tail pot, Ruby for her tasty chicken wings and of course, the kids for not bothering us at all, and of course Grace for buying us a cake, not breaking anything LOL.  We really enjoyed the chatty night, something that we haven’t done for quite a while and hope that there will be more to come in the near future just like the old times 🙂

Wishing Grace and Cindy a Happy happy birthday and everyday will be better and better 🙂

Southern Caribbean – St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados

My first time on a cruise Caribbean Cruise Experience (Oasis of the Seas), my second time cruising Royal Princess (East Caribbean Cruise) and onto my third cruise this time with my favorite “Royal Caribbean International” to the southern Caribbean on the Jewel of the Seas.  Man, it was hot hot hot, I got sick on the third day probably because of the hot and humid weather, good thing all I had was cough, nothing serious 😛  This time was a little different from the other ones I had, we board at San Juan Purto Rico other than Ft. Lauderdale and it has 5 itinerary ports, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados and only 1 day cruising on ship.  Luckily, we had 6 sunny days, only one rainy day, lots of walking and sun tanning 🙂

Really glad that I went with Royal Caribbean International again this time because compare to Princess (the one I went last year), the activities and age groups are way way better.  Tons of things and shows that fit my age, not as many older generations with walkers and scooters around, more than half of the people are actually my age or even younger, the whole ship was ALIVE!!!

Since I have cruised 3 times already, there are a few things I have learned, 1, as far as I know, for my age, Royal is definitely the company to go for, 2, don’t bring too many socks, 3, never believe the elevators signs that said MAX 20 persons because most people on the ship are 3 times of a normal person 😛

of course there are more pictures on my facebook 🙂

SANTORINI Mediterranean Cuisine

I won’t say this is the best of it’s kind but surely it is different from what I would try normally, SANTORINI Mediterranean Cuisine, a restaurant that imported all their ingredients from Greek and serve using high-quality products such as Black Angus Beef and fresh seafood with a very inviting atmosphere. I am so glad we could try something out of our usual appetite for Simon’s Birthday this year 🙂  The restaurant is huge, very easy to spot, location is right on Bayview Ave. and John st., outside of Thornhill square.  Menu is nice and simple, I was told their fish dishes are the best but too bad I don’t eat fish but our appetizers were very impressive and so was my steak. yum yum 🙂

911 Cousins visit 2014

It’s the time of the year when my cousin Rita and Elaine came for a visit.  They would come when they have the time off so it wasn’t surprising that they came this year.  Didn’t really do a lot with them because they had been to everywhere in Toronto really, but we decided to go to Niagara Falls for some nice pictures for a day.  Tho the weather wasn’t the greatest, at least it wasn’t raining 😛 The visit was kind of short, all we did was to walk along the falls back and forth, but it was a fun one day trip that I haven’t had for a long time 🙂  Well, I don’t know when they will come visit again but I am sure the next time when they visit, I will be living at my own place without my annoying parents around 😛
