玲龍風味(Ling Long Legend)

Another good Chinese restaurant I found which I don’t think people would actually notice this restaurant even when they walk by it.  Its called 玲龍風味 (Ling Long Legend), a Northern Chinese style restaurant located right along the south entrance of First Markham Place.  Tho we have tried only 3 dishes, they were very satisfying good, I am sure I will go again with more people so I could try more different dishes next time.  And don’t miss out their specialty noodles because they would make it right in front of you :p

PotLuck Party at my house 2012

Most of my friends know that my parents are gone vacation for 5 weeks, so I have the house all by myself, so what would I do while they are gone?  First house party while they are gone, yay!!!  Perfect timing for a gathering during the long weekend with some of my old pals from Logic and other friends and we also made it a surprise birthday party for Tony as well 😀  It was soo funny that Doris tricked Tony to pick her up at my place to go out for dinner but instead, we had everyone waiting in my house for him to arrive hehe.  Of course the end result was, my house was filled with joy and laughters once again, ummm but not a big fan of those evil kids running around my house all night long tho… Anyways, super fun night and I will try my best to have as many house gatherings/parties as possible before my parents come back I promise :p

Long Weekend Trip to Hamilton

The original plan was to go to the tulips fest in Ottawa, but we were told because of the weird weather that had been going on the last few weeks, the flowers season could be near the end, so we decided to go Hamilton instead.

After having breakfast early Saturday morning, our trip started along with a nice warm sunny weather.  Our first stop was to visit Royal Botanical Gardens hoping to take some nice pictures of flowers, sadly, most flowers were dead as expected but I still managed to have some awesome pictures taken even with the greens and left over flowers :p  Next stop was Adventure Village, mainly it was a perfect place for kids, but for adults, you play with the kids :p  So what did I do?  Well, I went exploring the area and found a beach right beside it :p  Didn’t do much other then taking pictures the whole afternoon :p  And our last stop was a restaurant that I was looking forward to, Spencer’s at the water front Burlington.  Heard a lot about it, seen tons of pictures and finally got to try it in person 😀  With the super nice weather dinning on the patio made the food look and taste even better than I expected really 😀  Anyhow, there are tons of things that words can’t really describe, so please enjoy the pictures below and get a feel of my wonderful day in Hamilton 😀

And of course if you are digging for more, there are TONS more including panorama photos on my facebook link here http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150962400180211.473890.689775210&type=1&aft=10150962421775211&l=1fda12aacf

kon-nichi-wa Japanese Restaurant

Another good restaurant find in downtown, kon-nichi-wa Japanese Restaurant.  We were supposed to go to another one but too bad it was not open to public yet so we went to this one instead which is a like 20 steps away.  Everything in downtown is good including this, cute small restaurant with a very unique character, plus food quality is quite nice, all fishies were very fresh unfortunately, I am not too impressed about those cooked dishes tho, maybe they are just too regular in many places but still a pretty good place for a nice dinner tho 😀

Not to mention I was actually quite surprised there are soo many different kinds of restaurants in the area and I can tell you, I will someday try them all if I have a chance :p

Festival of Sake (Kampai Toronto)

It was the first Sake festival in Toronto, once you bought your ticket to go in which we did from weeks ago, you can try anything as much as you like.   There was quite a varieties of food  they provided and over 100 different sakes from Japan, not to mention most sakes are not being sold in LCBO, only private sales in cases.  It was quite an experience because the event was hosted in a cellar warehouse which I had never seen.  I was also kind of surprised by the amount of people inside but anyhow, we started the tasting right away like everyone else from the entrance.  Long story short, after an hour of sake tasting, I finally got a better knowledge on sake grades which I never would have a chance to try soo many all at once in the past.  At the end of the night, some got a little drunk of course as you can tell from the pictures below but it was a very nice experience.
